About Us
No auditions
Anyone and everyone is welcome to join.
Regardless of experience or ability, if you love to sing, we'd love to have you!
No subscriptions
Simply pay-as-you-go!
No joining fee, no monthly or termly up-front payments - you only pay for the rehearsals you attend!
No pressure
Fit rehearsals around your busy life: we understand that life, work, and family always come first, so you are encouraged to attend when you can.
We are the choirs that fit around your life! Our membership style is designed to work with you; no auditions are required before you join and absolutely anyone is welcome to come along and sing! We don't ask you to pay up front for a month, a term, or a year, and we don't charge you a re-joining fee if you haven't been for a few months. You simply pay for each session, as and when you attend.
There are many excellent choirs in Wiltshire & Somerset, catering to a whole range of musical tastes, but if you haven't yet found the one for you, perhaps we can offer you what you're looking for.
Do I need to have experience?
We don't hold auditions to join the choirs, and you don't have to be able to sing to any particular level - you also don't need to be able to read music. The groups welcome a whole mixture of members: those who have been in choirs previously, those who have only ever sung in the shower, some who do not read music...all different abilities.
What do you sing?
We sing arrangements of pop songs (old and new), themes from musicals, the odd folk-song or well-known classical piece and popular classics at Christmas. Check out each choirs page to see what they're singing at the moment.
How much does it cost?
The weekly charge per session is £6. There is no yearly or termly charge - pay as you go!
Do you perform?
Each group hosts two concerts a year - one in Summer and one at Christmas time. We also occasionally take part in charity events. If you only want to come and sing weekly, and aren't interested in performing, that's not a problem at all - we'd still love to see you at rehearsals!
Director
Michelle Anthony-Cresswell
Michelle has been directing community choirs for over 19 years, since completing her BA (Hons) in Music at the University of Reading. Most recently she founded and currently directs the Bath City Singers, West Wiltshire Singers, and Trowbridge Town Singers, and prior to these the Edinburgh City Singers and Oxford City Singers, both each now one of the largest community choirs in their respective areas.
Michelle prides herself on how welcoming and accommodating her choirs are, and also on the wide selection of music that they cover - a rehearsal can take you from Katy Perry to Gustav Holst in just 20 minutes!

He has made a number of recordings with RTHK (radio television Hong Kong), worked with many diploma students at the Academy for Performing Arts and done recital work with members of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.
After 20 years of city life in Hong Kong, David relocated to his rural roots in the west of England to continue his accompaniment and teaching work in the area.
